ജനുവരി 4 മുതൽ 8 വരെ നടക്കുന്ന കലാമേളയിൽ ആകെ 27 വേദികളിലായി ആയിരക്കണക്കിന് മത്സരാർഥികളാണ് ഇത്തവണ മാറ്റുരയ്ക്കുന്നത്. മറൈൻ ഡ്രൈവാണ് കലോത്സവത്തിന്റെ പ്രധാന വേദി.

തൃശൂരിൽ നടന്ന കഴിഞ്ഞ കലോത്സവത്തിൽ 1028 പോയിന്റോടെ കണ്ണൂർ ജില്ലയാണ് സ്വർണ്ണക്കപ്പ് സ്വന്തമാക്കിയത്. മുൻ ചാമ്പ്യന്മാരായ തൃശൂർ രണ്ടാം സ്ഥാനവും പാലക്കാട് മൂന്നാം സ്ഥാനവും നേടി. സ്കൂൾതലത്തിൽ പാലക്കാട് ആലത്തൂർ ബിഎസ്‍എസ് ഗുരുകുലം എച്ച്എസ്‍എസ് ഒന്നാം സ്ഥാനം കരസ്ഥമാക്കി.

സംസ്ഥാന സ്കൂൾ കായിക മേള ഒക്ടോബർ 24 മുതൽ 29 വരെ കോഴിക്കോട്ട് വെച്ച് നടക്കും. എൻഐടി ഗ്രൗണ്ടാണ് കായികമേളയുടെ പ്രധാന വേദി. പതിനായിരത്തിലധികം വിദ്യാർഥികളാണ് മേളയിൽ പങ്കെടുക്കുന്നത്.
